James Cloutier is a native Oregonian with undergraduate and graduate degrees infine arts from the University of Oregon. While attending the U of O, he also played varsity baseball. In the mid 1960's, James spent two years in Kenya with the Peace Corps.

He currently devotes his creative time and energy as anillustrator, cartoonist, photographer, and writer. James has participated inseveral art exhibits and his work has appeared in over two dozen books. He is the founder of Peaceful Planet Productions, which creates and distributes tools tohelp raise consciousness about world peace.
